    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape that is produced by using an orthogonal nonwoven fabric and has good weft tearing property.
      SOLUTION: Filament nonwoven fabric produced by melt-spinning a thermoplastic resin is monoaxially drawn to form a monoaxially oriented, at least one layer nonwoven fabric comprising fibers arranged almost in one direction as the warp and filament nonwoven fabric produced by melt-spinning a thermoplastic resin is monoaxially drawn to form a monoaxially oriented, at least one layer nonwoven fabric comprising fibers arranged almost in one direction as the weft. These base materials are laminated by embossing to prepare the orthogonal nonwoven fabric. In this case, the thickness of the fiber constituting the monoaxially oriented nonwoven fabric for the warp base material is less than 1 denier and the strength of the whole nonwoven fabric for the warp base material is more than 1 g/denier and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is formed on one face of the base fabric. The weft tear strength of the adhesive tape is less than 290 grams.
