SOLUTION: In a golf ball 10 which consists of a core 12 and a cover 11, the core has a fluid 18 of the center of the ball and a first solid non-wound mantle layer which wraps this fluid. This first mantle layer 22 is composed of a copolymer or terpolymer of ethylene and an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid. This acid is neutralized at least 80% by a salt of an organic acid, a cation source, or a suitable base of the organic acid. However, the cover has a polyurethane, polyurea, or polyurea/polyurethane hybrid. 摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf ball including layers containing a nanosheet of exfoliated graphite in a polymer network. SOLUTION: The exfoliated graphite is that in which atoms or molecules are inserted in the space between layered planes of carbon preferably in an oxidization step and thickness is expanded by exposing to a high temperature for a short time. Subsequently the expanded or exfoliated graphite is blended with a monomer and is immediately polymerized to manufacture a polymer having the network of the nanosheet of the dispersed exfoliated graphite. The stripping graphite holds the nanostructure during a polymerization process. The obtained layers of the golf ball including the polymer having the nanosheet of the exfoliated graphite shows outstanding tensile strength, low gas permeability, and reinforced impact strength. The golf ball including a steam barrier layer including the compressed exfoliated graphite layer is also provided. An intermediate core layer 20 is preferably formed from a thermoplastic composition such as an ethylene acid copolymer ionomer resin; and an outer core layer 22 is preferably formed from a thermoset composition such as polybutadiene rubber. The core layers have different hardness and specific gravity levels. The core structure and resulting ball have relatively good resiliency.
