摘要： An air conditioning compressor comprises a compressor housing including front and rear housing heads and a pair of cylinder blocks disposed in the housing each defining axially disposed cylinders. The compressor also includes a double-acting piston in each cylinder opening, a swashplate and drive shaft assembly having a swashplate driveably engageable with each piston and a driveshaft mounted in each cylinder block coaxially therewith. The compressor further includes a valve assembly located between each housing head and each respective cylinder block. Each valve assembly includes an intake valve means disposed adjacent to the respective cylinder block, the intake valve means includes valve reeds that control flow from the low pressure passages to the cylinders, a valve plate disposed adjacent to the intake valve means, a discharge valve means disposed adjacent the valve plate, and a noise reducing gasket means disposed between the discharge valve means and the housing head. The noise reducing gasket means includes a first region disposed at a radially inward part of the gasket means for sealingly limiting gas transfer radially inwardly from the high pressure region, a second region radially outwardly spaced from the first region for sealingly limiting gas transfer from the high pressure region to the low pressure region, and a plurality of resilient members mounted in a cantilever fashion to the second region and having a free end spaced from the first region.

摘要： A method of flexibly manufacturing engine blocks by first bonding an extruded tube liner insert, of a given thickness (1-15mm), to a fixed configuration block, the liner insert having been coated with an anti-friction wearresistant coating having a controlled standard thickness, and secondly bonding an extruded tube liner insert of a different thickness (again selected from 1-15mm) to another of the fixed configuration blocks, the second liner insert having been coated with the same type of anti-friction wear-resistant coating in essentially the same controlled standard thickness. The common sized engine block can have (i) identically shaped circular cylindrical bore walls or (ii) ovoid cylindrical bore walls with the liner insert having an interior surface shape selection varying between circular to ovoid. The block and liner insert may be both made of aluminum. To promote wear-resistant and lubricant qualities, the coating may contain a mixture of hard particles (such as stainless steel, nickel, chromium or vanadium) and solid lubricant particles such as oxides of iron having controlled oxygen, BN, LiF, NaF2 or a eutectic of LiF/NaF2.

摘要： This specification is directed to a UV-base ceramic paint composition and a method of forming a glass sheet with a UV-base ceramic paint thereon. The method has the following steps. A UV-base ceramic paint is applied to the glass sheet. The UV-base ceramic paint includes selected ceramic paint components along with, as a new component thereof, finely divided zinc metal powder. The glass sheet is subjected to UV radiation and then heated to a temperature which softens the glass sheet sufficiently so that the glass sheet can be formed. The glass sheet and the ceramic paint thereon are engaged with a fiberglass covered forming die to form the heated glass sheet to a desired shape. The forming die is removed from engagement with the glass sheet. The finely divided zinc metal powder addition to the ceramic paint is credited with being effective to prevent sticking of any of the ceramic paint to the forming die. The glass sheet is cooled to obtain a formed glass sheet with a ceramic paint thereon.
