    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a compact PAR lamp with the loss in light restrained at the neck region.
      SOLUTION: In a hollow body 12 arranged along a longitudinal axis 14 of a compact PAR lamp 10, a light source capsule 20 is provided coaxially with the longitudinal axis 14. A first parabolic reflector 26 is formed in the hollow body 12. A second reflector 32 is formed in the hollow body 12 and extends from a narrow part 30 to a neck end 18. A open end part 16 is closed by a lens 34, and a base 36 is attached to the neck end 18. In an alternate embodiment, the light source 20 comprises an arc discharge vessel 44 containing electrodes 46, 48, and an arc gap 50 is defined in between terminals 46', 48' of the electrodes 46, 48; and the focus points of the second reflector 32, if it is ellipsoidal, matches the terminals 46', 48'.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle light assembly for providing an area allowing vehicle light using LEDs to be determined as well. SOLUTION: This vehicle light assembly is provided with a single lamp 10 having a plurality of LEDs arrayed annularly around the lamp; a reflector body 30 extending from the back side to the front side and having a reflector axis generally directed to a field to be illuminated; a plurality of reflective surfaces formed on the front side, and separated by one or more axially extending walls; and a through passage sized and shaped to receive a portion of the lamp, and intersecting a planar extension part of at least one axially extending walls 36 separating a first reflective surface 32 from a second reflective surface 34. The planar extension part intersects the lamp between a first LED and a second LED whereby light from the first LED substantially shines toward the first reflective surface and the light from the second LED shines toward the second reflective surface.
