    • PURPOSE:To manufacture at a low cost a heat exchanger excellent in durability by a method wherein liquid pipes of synthetic resin containing fine metallic pieces are inserted into through holes on a synthetic resin base plate and induction heating is conducted to be welded to the base plate. CONSTITUTION:Liquid pipes 1a of synthetic resin of the same kind as that of a base plate 4 and containing fine metallic pieces (preferably, iron powder, ferrous alloy powder) are inserted into the holes 6 of the synthetic resin base plate 4 on the peripheral edge of which vertical walls 8 are equipped in the form of a short cylinder. Then, under the situation that the outside of each liquid pipe 1a and the inside of the respective vertical wall 8 are stuck to each other, electric current is applied to a high frequency induction coil 9 arranged around each vertical wall 8, high frequency induction current is generated in the fine metallic pieces contained in each liquid pipe 1a to obtain Joule heat. Each vertical wall 8 on the base plate 4 and the inserting portion of the respective liquid pipe 1a are welded into one body. This body is set tightly to a tank 5 through the base plate 4 to obtain a heat exchanger.
