    • An IC card connector device in which an IC card ejecting operation and a misoperation canceling operation are selectively performed. A frame for guiding an IC card at insertion and extraction is provided with a circulation cam groove and a clearance groove with which a second transmission pin pivotally supported by a pushrod is selectively engaged. By pushing the pushrod after projecting it to a first projecting, a drive plate that is placed in the circulation cam groove is pushed via the second transmission pin, thereby ejecting the IC card. When a misoperation occurs, the second transmission pin is caused to trace the clearance groove, by pulling the pushrod frontward and then pushing the pushrod, thereby canceling an IC card ejecting operation. Furthermore, a handle (actuating element) of the pushrod is provided with a heartshaped cam groove with which a first transmission pin pivotally supported on the frame is engaged. The pushrod can be held in a predetermined retracted position by retaining the first transmission pin at a predetermined position of the heart-shaped cam groove.

    • A connector connecting structure, includes a first connector supported by a holder and a second connector to be connected to the first connector. In the connector connecting structure, there is provided in the holder a support portion including a recessed groove or the like for supporting the first connector in such a manner that the first connector can be slid in a direction where the two connectors can be connected together, while two slide members slidable and displaceable in a direction at right angles to the connecting direction of the two connectors are respectively supported between the holder and first connector. In the structure, there are further provided a drive part which, according to the sliding displacement of the first connector, drives the two slide members so that they can be slid and displaced, and an operation part which can increase the drive force of the slide members and can transmit the thus increased drive force to the connecting portions of the first and second connectors, thereby being able to drive the two connectors in the connecting direction thereof.

    • A socket (1) forms part of a flat-pin connector designed for 19" racks. Mounted on it by means of soldering tabs (3) is a standard circuit board (2) which is fitted in a housing (9). The housing (9) has two parallel walls (13,14) and is closed off from the socket by a half-frame (16). The part of the socket (1) facing towards the circuit board (2) has a central section (6) which not only carries the soldering tabs (3) but also acts as a stop for the circuit board (2). The dimensions and position of this central section (6) are such that the housing wall (13) which covers the solder side of the circuit board does not extend out more than a distance defined by the distance between the pin array and the side of the socket (1), so that the whole of the rest of the width comprising distances is available for components and the other wall (14). The space available for components can be further increased by providing over the shoulder (10) as recess (12) which allows the circuit board (2) to be mechanically fixed in place by means of rivets or bolts passing through a hole (11).
