摘要： The improved mortar has a sealing means that provides a double seal to the firing pin so that hot ignition gases from the mortar tube are prevented from damaging the firing mechanism. The improved mortar also has an improved base plate, the improvement in the base plate being an even number of radial ridges that extend radially from the base plate and are arranged in equal angles at the center. Every other radial ridge is forked and the branches of the forked radial ridges are parallel to the adjacent non-forked radial ridges.

摘要： An annularly symmetrical multiple fire weapon having a unitary tubular barrel with a series of annularly arranged, regularly spaced firing bores and respective cartridge chambers therein. The unitary tubular barrel means is suitable for mounting of an optical scope coaxially in the throat thereof. A firing pin release system in the weapon is incrementally rotatably shiftable in firing pin release increments to sequentially fire either one of the bores at a time or diametrically opposed pairs of the bores simultaneously. The firing bores are pre-loaded prior to a multiple fire sequence, as distinguished from the continuous loading during a firing sequence of an automatic weapon.

摘要： A mechanical device for initiating the firing of a large cannon, comprising cylindrical case with a generally cylindrical yoke slidably mounted therein with a generally cylindrical hammer in turn mounted in said yoke. A lever is held up against the aft end of the case by means of an internal spring. The device is cocked by moving the lever sidewise in any direction, or directly aft. During cocking the hammer and yoke are moved aft. Upon completion of the cocking movement, the hammer is automatically released and moves forward to strike the firing pin. Upon release of the lever, the yoke and other parts are automatically reset under the action of springs.
