    • PURPOSE:To make possible the generation of a high-frequency electromagnetic wave having excellent special uniformity by coupling capacitively the 1st and 2nd conductor pairs which are disposed parallel and symmetrically to a pair of annular conductors at both ends thereof. CONSTITUTION:The annular conductors 1, 2 are disposed symmetrically with the plane perpendicular to the same axial line CL. The conductors 3-6 are capacitively coupled at both ends to the annular conductors 12 via dielectric layers 7, 8 by the straight conductors parallel with the axial line CL. The current from a terminal 9 is bisected to the conductors 4, 6 by an input high-frequency signal and flows to the annular conductor 2 side through the conductors 4, 6 as shown by an arrow. The current is passed through the annular conductor 2 toward the conductors 5, 3 by the capacitive coupling and is passed further through the conductors 5, 3 as shown by the arrow toward the annular conductor 1 side by the capacitive coupling. These currents are passed through the annular conductor 1 by the capacitive coupling so as to arrive at a terminal 10. The distribution of the magnetic lines of force generated in this stage is such that the greater part of the magnetic lines of force are perpendicular to the axial line CL and are parallel with the arranging direction of the conductors 4, 6 and are approximately uniformly distributed in the space enclosed by the conductors 3-6.

    • A nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) resonator (1; 31) including an inductive section (6) and a capacitive section (6a). The inductive section (6) is band-shaped and surrounds a cylindrical volume under investigation (5), and the capacitive section (6a) is formed from one or more discrete capacitor(s) (13; 13a, 13b, 13c, 13d). There are through-connections (10) in the area of the inner end (7) of the band-shaped inductive section (6) so the outer coating (4) can be connected in the area of the outer end (8) to the inner coating (3) in the area of the inner end (7) via one or more capacitor(s) of the capacitive section. The inductive section (6) is formed from a dielectric flexible foil (2) which is conductively coated on both sides and the ends (7, 8) of the band-shaped inductive section (6) overlap. The NMR resonator for low-resolution NMR has a simple construction and provides NMR measurements of improved quality at low resonance frequencies, especially for Carbon 13.
