CONSTITUTION:Upon plastic deformation of metal plate 1 by drawing the corner of lug of the metal plate 1 through glue pass rollers or bore dies into the shape as shown by 4, the section area 4-1 is removed to widen to the section of area 4-2. Consequently the longitudinal extension is corrected low with correspondence to enlarged width thus to correct the distribution of slit distorsion 5 as shown by 6. As a results, the distribution of residual distorsion is also corrected from 7 to 8. In photoetching test, it is confirmed that the bending of pin including the lug is reduced considerably from 3 to 3' to cause substantially no influence in secondary machining.

    • PURPOSE:To manufacture an electric welded tube having a good quality, by using a trimmer edge and a forming roll, which have a specified structure, when shearing a thick steel plate for the electric welded tube. CONSTITUTION:When manufacturing an electric welded tube by use of a dead thick steel plate or a high tensile strength steel plate, in case of trimming an edge end part of the steel plate or slitting the steel plate to several strips, the edge end part of the steel plate is shear-formed so that a necessary radius of curvature is obtained, by which failure of a shape and a quality of the electric welded tube being a finished product is prevented. Therefore, when shearing the edge end part of a steel plate S, a gap between a trimmer upper edge 1 and a trimmer lower edge 2 is controlled to match the plate thickness. The upper edge 1 is formed in a projecting shape, the outside circumference of a forming roll 3 is formed in a recessed shape, and the edge end part of the steel plate S is bend- formed to a necessary radius of curvature to match the shape of the upper edge 1 and the forming roll. Accordingly, an electric welded tube manufactured by use of this steel plate is excellent in both of its shape and quality.
