    • PURPOSE:To restrict wasteful consumption of an ink film, by a method wherein feeding of an ink film serving as a feeding body for a recording paper is momentarily stopped in relation to the recording paper. CONSTITUTION:A controlling circuit 21 produces a sensor output signal 22 which is obtained by making binary a signal obtained from a resist sensor 16 and a printing completion signal 23 which indicates that printing on the recording paper 6 is completed. A timing generating circuit 24 is supplied with the signals 22, 23, and produces a recording paper feed enable signal 25 for controlling the paper 6 and an ink film feed enable signal 26 for controlling the ink film. The signal 25 is supplied to a driving circuit 27 for feeding the recording paper to control the feeding of the paper, while the signal 26 is supplied to a driving circuit 28 for feeding the ink film to control the feeding of the film.
