摘要： The invention is a composition comprising a) one or more organotitanates having four ligands wherein the ligands are hydrocarbyl, optionally containing one or more functional groups having one or more heteroatoms selected from the group comprising oxygen, nitrogen, phosphorus and sulfur wherein two or more of the ligands may form a cyclic structure; b) one or more mercaptosilanes; c) one or more polyaminosilanes; d) one or more secondary aminosilanes; and e) a solvent which dissolves the components of the composition. This composition is referred to as a clear primer hereinafter. In another embodiment the invention is a system for bonding glass to a substrate which comprises a clear primer according to the invention; and an adhesive comprising an isocyanate functional prepolymer and a catalyst for the cure of the isocyanate functional prepolymer.

摘要： In one aspect, this invention is a primer which comprises a solution of: (a) a polyester resin of a carboxylic acid and a glycol; and (b) a polymethylene poly(phenyl isocyanate), diphenylmethane diisocyanate, or mixture thereof; in a volatile solvent, wherein the weight ratio of (a):(b) is in the range of from about 0.25:1.0 to 2.0:1.0. In a second aspect, this invention is a primer which comprises a solution of: (a) 5-18 weight percent of a polyester resin of a carboxylic acid and a glycol; and (b) 6-17 weight percent of a polymethylene poly(phenyl isocyanate), diphenylmethane diisocyanate, or mixture thereof; in a volatile solvent. It has been discovered that the primer of the invention advantageously provides improved adhesion characteristics of metal-to-glass bonding when used to prime paint-coated metal substrates before the application of a urethane adhesive, particularly when used with a "fast cure" adhesive comprised of an isocyanate-functional prepolymer and dimorpholinediethyl ether.

摘要： There is disclosed a primer composition comprising[A] a reaction product of:(1) a hydroxyl group-containing organic compound composed of;(a) an epoxy group-containing alcohol represented by the general formula [I]: ##STR1## wherein, R.sup.1 is a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 15 carbon atoms, or an organic group in which the same or different hydrocarbon groups are bonded to each other by an ether bond or an ester bond; and each of m and n is a value of 1 or more; and(b) a hydroxyl group-containing (meth)acrylate represented by the formula [II]:(CH.sub.2 .dbd.CR.sup.2 COO).sub.a R.sup.3 [II] wherein R.sup.2 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; R.sup.3 is a substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbon group, or a group in which the same or different hydrocarbon groups are bonded to each other by ether bond or the ester bond, the R.sup.3 being a-valent and having at least one hydroxyl group; and a is an integer of 1 to 3; an amount of active hydrogen atoms included in the aforesaid (a) being 25 to 75% with respect to the total amount of active hydrogen atoms included in the aforesaid (1), and(2) a polyisocyanate including 70 to 100% of the theoretical amount of isocyanato groups which will react with the total amount of the active hydrogen atoms included in the aforesaid (1);[B] an amino group-containing alkoxysilane or its partially hydrolyzed condensate having 0.5 to 1.5 amino active hydrogen atoms per epoxy group included in the aforesaid (1)(a); and[C] a diluent.
