摘要： A turbomolecular pump has a housing, a rotor shaft supported by a plurality of bearings for rotation relative to the housing about an axis of rotation, a deflector, a lubricant supply system and a lubricant transfer device provided on the rotor shaft. The bearings include a rolling bearing that receives lubricant from the lubricant supply system to via the lubricant transfer device. The rolling bearing is disposed intermediate the lubricant transfer device and the deflector and the deflector is configured to deflect lubricant that passes through the rolling bearing outwardly with respect to the rotor shaft.

摘要： Disclosed herein are a shaft assembly having a dry well and a gearbox incorporating the shaft assembly. The shaft assembly may include a housing having an opening and a lubricant reservoir. A tubular member may be fixed in the opening and extend above a surface of lubricant that collects in the lubricant reservoir during operation. At least one sealing member may be positioned between the tubular member and an inner wall defining the opening. A solid shaft may extend through the tubular member and have an outer diameter that is smaller than an inner diameter of the tubular member, thereby defining a dry well between the solid shaft and the tubular member. A bearing mount may be arranged about the tubular member and may be removably connected to a gear associated with the solid shaft. A method of assembling a gearbox incorporating the shaft assembly is also disclosed.

The gear has an outer first surface exposed to the volume and has a second surface exposed to the environment. A vent arrangement includes first and second passages formed in the gear. The second passage extends axially part way into the gear and has an outer end exposed to the second surface. The first passage extends radially from the first surface to the second passage. A check valve is mounted in the second passage and permits one-way flow of air from the volume to the environment.

摘要： A unitized wheel hub and bearing assembly for use on the ends of stationary axles and particularly on tractor and trailer axles. A wheel hub, a pair of bearings and at least one seal are assembled with a mounting sleeve which is sized to be fitted on an axle end. The inclusion of a custom designed mounting sleeve permits the building of unitized assemblies to be used with existing axles as well as with new ones. The unitized construction allows pre-adjustment of the bearings and when two seals are employed, the bearings can also be pre-lubricated.
