An elastomeric force carrying member (28) extends forwardly from the string arm connector (18) and is secured to a bowstring (16). The elastomeric force carrying member (28) is extendable between a relaxed and stretched configuration (30, 32) before and after bowstring release. The muscles associated with the archer's upper body function upon and after release of the bowstring (16) to restrain the bow hand (15), string arm (22), and shoulders (23, 25) from movement that would adversely affect shooting accuracy.

    • The present invention relates to a system which measures the shooting force and the slope of a bow when an arrow is shot, and simulates, in a three-dimensional space, the trace of the arrow shot by the bow. The system comprises: a measurement data receiving unit which receives bow deformation data, bow slope data, or target point data; a shooting vector calculation unit which calculates a shooting vector by calculating a shooting force in accordance with the deformation data received at the measurement data receiving unit using the correction table generated by matching the bow deformation data and shooting force which is the size of a bowstring drawing force, and by calculating a shooting direction using the bow slope data or target point data received at the measurement data receiving unit; a shooting simulation unit which simulates, in a three-dimensional virtual space, the trace of the arrow shot by a take-down bow using the shooting vector calculated by the shooting vector calculation unit; and an image generating unit which generates an image of the three-dimensional virtual space including the trace of the arrow simulated by the shooting simulation unit, such that the image is displayed on a screen. The system of the present invention ensures the durability of a sensor, and measures the shooting force in a more accurate manner to improve the accuracy of the simulation.

    • A bow hanger for archery bows includes steel plate members (1, 2, and 3) and a hook (6) within the members. The steel plate members are separated to receive an upper bow limb (7) between two plate members (2 and 3). Each plate member has a pair of holes for receiving screws (5). Wing nuts (4) are threaded on the screws to retain the hook and plate members in position on the bow. The hook and plate members are positioned onto the bow such that the hook may be adapted to receive a stationary object, thus vertically suspending the bow from a stationary object when the bow is momentarily not in use.
