The housing(12) accommodates at least the first electric switch(74) which permits the modification of the electric state of an associated control circuit, such as a control circuit for the display device(52). The display device(52) has at least an external control part(66) to which a user applies a control force, and an internal activation part(68) of which an activation surface(70) cooperates with a trigger element(72) of the first electric switch(74). The display device(52) is movably arranged relative to the housing(12) between a rest position and an activation position in which the activation part(68) cooperates with the trigger element(72) of the switch(74).

摘要： A keycap provides glyphs that are selectively visible. An exemplary keycap comprises a housing that has an at least partially transparent top side. A glyph made of a polarizing material is placed on the top side of the keycap. The glyph has a first plane of polarization. A liquid crystal panel is disposed inside the housing underneath the glyph. The liquid crystal panel is larger than the glyph above it. A polarizing filter having a second plane of polarization is arranged between the liquid crystal panel and a reflective carrier plate. Light enters the keycap through the transparent top side and is reflected at the bottom of the keycap by the reflective carrier plate. The reflected light is polarized by the polarization filter. The polarized light passes through the liquid crystal panel, which selectively rotates the polarization plane of light passing through it if the liquid crystal panel is active.

摘要： Flexibly configurable button panels for electronic devices and dynamic display systems for wager based gaming machines are disclosed. Button panels include a flexible cable, surface mount or other cable connectors spaced along and coupled thereto, and button assemblies coupled thereto via the cable connectors to provide electrical access from buttons to circuit lines. Relative physical locations of buttons are then reconfigurable to form different button panel configurations while the buttons remain coupled to the flexible cable. A dedicated dynamic button panel controller for processing button functions and a button panel identification device having an identification code can also be provided. Buttons can be removably coupled to the cable connectors, and can also include dynamic displays thereupon. Other gaming machine dynamic displays can also be provided. Separate dynamic display controllers can be provided to control dynamic displays directly to alleviate processing burdens on the master gaming controller.
