摘要： PURPOSE:To perform pumping efficiently, by installing a piston, provided with a heater, in the pump body connected to the lower end of a lifting pipe, and making the piston go down with the high pressure produced by the heater. CONSTITUTION:A piston 2 provided with a heater is exposed of the upper half to a pressure chamber 3, and when steam in this pressure chamber 3 is heated by the heater and comes to high pressure, the piston 2 comes down, whereby water being filled up in a pump body 1 is pumped up from a lifting pipe 10. When the piston 2 becomes situated in the specified position inside the pump body 1, a solenoid slector valve 6 is operated, and the high pressure in the pressure chamber 3 is expanded in a storage tank 5 and comes to low pressure. Therefore, water in a low level is pumpable to an elevated spot with strong pumping force.

摘要： PURPOSE: To remarkably reduce a construction cost and a material cost by a method wherein ocean deep water having resource characteristics is caused to effect artificial upwelling in such a way that a flexible tube having vacuum resistance is used as a deep water intake pipe so that a deep water intake port is lowered down to a target ocean deep water intake depth. CONSTITUTION: An ocean deep water artificial upwelling device is formed in such a manner that a rope 5 is inserted in a davit 7 through a pulley 8 from a winch 4 and a sinker 12 is suspended from a tip. A deep water suction port (an intake port) 11 at the tip of a flexible tube (9) is fixed to the rope 5. The rope 5 and the flexible tube 9 are bundled at intervals of a given distance by clamps 10 and the winch 4 is unwound and the sinker 12 is lowered in sea. In which case, at a stage where the deep water suction port attains a target ocean deep water intake depth, by operating a storage pump 3 on a working ship coupled to the flexible tube 9, ocean deep water is caused to effect upwelling and deep water is stored at a water storage tank 2.
