摘要： Individual fibers of a material layer are pinched within adjacent coils of a spring in the present invention by a spring-like surface carried by a moving object such as a conveyor belt, rotating drum or rotating puck. The spring coils are slightly opened to accept the individual fibers. Next the spring coils are closed to carry and transport the web of fibers. At a deposition point, the coil springs, carried by a moving object such as a conveyor belt, rotating drum or rotating puck, are opened slightly, releasing fibers and depositing the web at a desired location.

A method according to the present invention comprises an initial step of analyzing or receiving an analysis of a fly ash sample. Based at least in part on the analysis of the fly ash sample, a mix rate may be selected and an initial admixture can be formulated, which, when added to the fly-ash sample, creates an alternative or additive to Portland cement for use in concrete, for example.

摘要： At least one bone fixation device comprising a stem having a maximum outer diameter is inserted into the sacroiliac joint through a minimally invasive incision path sized approximately at or about the maximum outer diameter of the stem in soft tissue, into the iliac bone, across the sacroiliac joint and into the sacrum. 摘要： A flexible container receives a liquid material, which is freeze-dried in situ within the flexible container. A gas permeable material that is separate from the flexible container provides gas transport for sublimation during drying and lyophilization. The gas permeable portion of the system can be isolated and removed from the flexible container post-lyophilzation The freeze-dried material is stored in the flexible container until administration is necessary. The flexible container receives a reconstituting liquid for mixing with the freeze-dried material, and conveys the reconstituted freeze-dried material from the flexible container for administration to an individual.

摘要： A stent according to the present invention incorporates an intraluminal scaffold for initial relief of stenoses or for providing support within bodily lumens, such as blood vessels, of children and adults. The scaffold minimizes flow disturbances in a stented region of a bodily lumen by the use of a strut having a transitional lumen surface, thereby limiting the potential for the development of neointimal hyperplasia and subsequent restenosis, and lessening the potential for early and late thrombosis formation and dislodgement. Any stent for use in any application can be initially manufactured with the strut shape of the current invention. Alternatively, the shape of the struts of existing stents can be modified during a post-processing procedure after fabrication thereby making the invention applicable to all stent designs presently available.
