    • PURPOSE: To enable engagement and release by advance and retreat of a single screw by inserting a headed screw into an inside screw of a pin of a male member inserted to a hole in a female member through a floating washer, and disposing two pins and a tightening screw in a radial direction. CONSTITUTION: As a pin 12 having a screw hole in a male member is inserted into an insertion hole 15 in a female member 11, a pin 17 gets in contact with a floating washer 34, and as it is further pushed in, the floating washer 34 bypasses the pin 17 to be moved radially to a lengthwise axis 40 of a screw 29. As tightening screw 23 is moved left, a conical end part 28 and a conical end part 18 of a pin 17 apply axial direction partial force to a head 33 through a truncated cone-shaped enclosure surface 35 to pull the pin 12 having the screw hole through the screw 29. An angle α between lengthwise axes of the pins 17 is set to be smaller than an angle β between lengthwise axes of the pin 17 and the tightening screw 23, thereby coupling and release of the male member and the female member 11 with/from each other can be completed by move of the tightening screw 23 only.

    • PURPOSE: To positively moor a milling tool or the like of small dimensions by constituting a metal cutting tool composed of a cutting body and a shaft, in such a way that the cutting body is connected to a locking screw through an engaging means when the locking screw is screwed into the shaft. CONSTITUTION: The edge 13 of a cutting body 10 protruded from a shaft 12 is provided with at least one cutting edge that can be differently designed according to an applied field or use. A circular cone part 14 having an engaging means 15 comprising a tongue part 16 and a recess 17 is formed on the rear end side of the cutting body 10. In order to mount the cutting body 10 to the shaft 12, a locking screw 11 is axially moved toward the open end of a conical seat 25. The engaging means 15 of the cutting body 10 is therefore inserted in the conical seat 25 and automatically comes into a position to be engaged with an engaging means 19 of the locking screw 11. When the cutting body 10 is rotated in the direction of an arrow mark 27, the locking screw 11 is also rotated in the direction of the arrow mark 27. The cooperation of a thread 22 and an internal thread 26 moves the locking screw 11 and the cutting body 10 until the circular cone part 14 comes in contact with the conical seat 25.

    • Improved alumina coated grade is provided to improve cutting performance by forming a textured alpha-Al2O3 layer on an insert of a cutting tool. A cutting tool insert includes a super light alloy body and a coating layer. The super light alloy includes WC, 5~9w% of Co, 5~11, preferably 6.5~9.5w% of cubical carbide of IVb, Vb, and VIb group metal (preferably Ti, Nb and Ta) at a periodic table, and has S-value of 0.79~0.9 and coercive force of 9~16 preferably 10~15kA/m. At least one surface of the super light alloy body has 5~40 preferably 10~30mum of thickness, and includes a float surface area on a binder adjacent to a coating layer. The surface area does not have the cubical carbide originally, and has a alpha-Al2O3 layer comprising columnar particle whose rate of length/width is 2~12, having 2~9mum of thickness.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new purification method for forming a α-Al 2 O 3 layer having abrasion resistance and toughness which are substantially more excellent than those of a conventional method. SOLUTION: The α-Al 2 O 3 layer is formed on a binding phase composed of (Ti, Al) and (C, O, M) in which an aluminum content increases towards an outermost layer. The nucleus generation of the α-Al 2 O 3 is attained when the nucleus generation process includes an aluminide process or an oxidation process. The α-Al 2 O 3 layer has a thickness of 1-20 μm, and includes a columnar particle. The ratio of the length of an alumina particle and the width thereof is 2-12 preferably 5-9. This layer has a clear (012) growing aggregated structure measured using XRD, and almost total existence is characterized by diffraction peaks of (104), (110), (113), and (116).
