摘要： A system and method for managing communications between an access point (AP) and a plurality of wireless stations (STAs) over a wireless medium. The AP schedules each of the plurality of STAs to access the wireless medium during a target wake time (TWT) service period. During a first portion of the TWT service period, the AP communicates with a first subset of the plurality of STAs using a first signaling technique. During a second portion of the TWT service period, the AP communicates with a second subset of the plurality of STAs using a second signaling technique. The second subset of the plurality of STAs does not include any STAs from the first subset.

摘要： Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. An access point (AP) may direct stations (STAs) to use a request-to-send (RTS)/clear-to-send (CTS) mode so the AP may perform power savings and off-channel operations without disrupting the communications of nearby devices. In some cases, the AP may use traffic conditions to identify a power save period and subsequently transmit an indication of an RTS/CTS mode to multiple STAs. In one example, the AP may power down at least one radio frequency (RF) chain and enter into a sleep mode. Additionally or alternatively, during the power save period the AP may receive an RTS from a STA and power up additional radio chains for MIMO communication. In some cases, the AP may identify an off-channel operations period based on traffic conditions and perform the off-channel operations after indicating the RTS/CTS mode to a set of STAs.

A wireless communication device may receive a data frame and use it to estimate a residual channel length (RCL). The device may then modify a finite impulse response (FIR) filter based on the estimated RCL. For example, the device may add additional taps to the FIR filter. The device may continue to adjust the FIR filter until the RCL is at or near zero. In some cases, the wireless communication device may send an indication to the transmitting device to adjust an FIR filter based on the estimated RCL. In some cases, the length of a guard interval may also be adjusted based on the estimated RCL.

In embodiments, power conservation may be achieved by adaptively controlling power modes of a wireless communication device, and implementing lower power modes with various modes of the device. According to one aspect, the mode of the device may be a beacon monitoring mode or a delivery traffic indication message (DTIM) mode. In such a mode, the device may receive a portion of a beacon in a first power mode. The device may transition to a second, different (e.g., higher) power mode using information contained in the received portion of the beacon as guidance.

摘要： Methods, systems, and devices are described for power conservation in a wireless communications system. In embodiments, power conservation may be achieved by adaptively controlling power modes of a wireless communication device, using a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) value as a factor for guidance. According to one aspect, the device may be in a reception mode. While in a first power mode, the device may receive control information for incoming data that is being transmitted via a transmission frame. The control information may be located in a first portion of the frame with the data following in a second portion of the frame. The control information may include or otherwise indicate an MCS value corresponding to the MCS applied to the incoming data. Based on the MCS value, the device may be adaptively switched to a second power mode for receiving the incoming data.

摘要： This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for implementing multi-link aggregation and conditional inheritance in a first basic service set (BSS). In one aspect, an apparatus may establish a first communication link with a first station (STA) of the first BSS using a first frequency band. The apparatus may determine a first link profile for a second communication link by customizing one or more management elements of management information associated with the first communication link. The apparatus may configure a first non-inheritance element of the first link profile associated with the second communication link to indicate usage of at least one management element of the management information by the second communication link is disabled. The apparatus may generate a management frame that comprises at least the first link profile, and may output the management frame for transmission.
