摘要： A beverage brewing device is configured to brew beverages such as coffee and tea. A brewing canister having a filter at a bottom end is held partially within a receiving beaker, and a seal is created between the canister outer surface and the beaker inner surface. Brewing media such as coffee grounds and brewing fluid such as hot water are added to the canister, mixed, and allowed to brew. At a desired time, the receiving beaker is moved relative to the brewing canister so that the brewing canister is partially removed from the receiving beaker. As such, a vacuum is formed between the bottom end of the brewing canister and the receiving beaker. The filter stops brewing media from flowing into the receiving beaker, but the vacuum draws the brewed beverage through the brewing media and filter and into the receiving beaker.

摘要： A process for infusing a consumable substance is described. The process includes the steps of placing a desired amount of an infusion material into a chamber at atmospheric pressure, placing a desired amount of consumable substance into said chamber, sealing said chamber from the surrounding atmosphere, and applying at least one reduced pressure cycle within said chamber. Methods for separating the infusion material from the consumable substance after completion of the infusion process are also described. In addition, devices for infusing liquids or consumable substances, and/or brewing beverages are described. The present invention relates to an apparatus for brewing beverages or infusing a consumable substance having a vessel, said vessel having a sealable chamber for holding a brewing or infusion material and a liquid or consumable substance, and a filter assembly connected to the sealable chamber; a liquid supply and conduit for introducing at least a portion of said liquid supply into said sealable chamber; and a vacuum source and conduit for reducing pressure in said sealable chamber.

摘要： A brewing device for either coffee or tea have a water pot bottomed with a base accomodating a heating element and a temperature-sensitive switch connected electrically therewith, by which applying heat to the water pot when being energized and cutting off the source of power at predetermined temperature, and a receiver for coffee grinds or tea to be brewed being disposed by the side of the pot. A U-shaped tube provided between the pot and the receiver having a first leg extended through an first aperture provided in the first lid and a second leg extended through a second aperture provided in the second lid, the former is gas tight sealed with the wall defining the first aperture but on the contrary, there is sufficient opening left between the receiver and the wall defining the second aperture. By such arrangement the water contained in the pot will rise in the first leg till reaching the top of the tube and then descend in the second leg to the receiver by the vapor pressure exerted on the water surface during heating until the water in the pot is exhausted, after de-energized, the brewed beverage in the receiver will return through the bridging means to the pot due to the atmospheric pressure.
