摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surgical implantable device and method that are used for treatment of bone deformities such as hallux valgus.SOLUTION: An implantable orthopedic device is provided. The device includes: a proximal anchor that is configured to be implanted inside a first metatarsal, and includes a collar preventing a cable from being brought into contact with a bone and having a diameter larger than that of an opening in the first metatarsal in which the proximal anchor is implanted; a distal anchor that is configured to be implanted inside a second metatarsal adjacent to the first metatarsal, and includes a male thread; a nut threadable onto the male thread of the distal anchor; and a cord mechanically interconnecting the proximal and distal anchors. A shock absorber includes an elongate housing threadedly positioned within the anchor; the shock absorber provides a cord holder mechanically connected to the housing via a vibration-damping member; and the cord holder is freely rotatable within the housing to prevent the cord from being twisted and kinked when the housing is rotated to adjust a tension force.
