摘要： Images that have pleasing appearance and research potential are made of fluent material that is placed on semi-rigid structures that are brought together and then separated. The semi-rigid structures can be pieces of acrylic sheeting that is transparent, and the fluent material can be liquid paint. A quantity of the paint is poured onto one of the sheets and the other sheet is placed parallel to the first sheet, thereby sandwiching the paint in a gap therebetween. The paint is made relatively thin, such as by compression, and then the sheets are separated starting at one edge and progressing to the opposite edge. This makes an interesting image of the paint, which can then be pressed onto a medium, such as cloth or paper, and viewed.

As the liquid flows onto the backing, the particles sink and disturb the uniformity of the pigment distribution. This causes the desired bulk decorative effects in the form of "comet-tails" and other dimensionally extended streaks and curves. Thereafter, a second casting is applied using a formulation which is at an earlier stage of curing. The backing may be removed after the castable liquids solidify or may be left in place to create a laminate. As a floor-covering, the material may be poured in place onto a suitable sub-flooring. A protective surface coating may also be applied to the solidified casting.

The method comprises the steps of: producing a patterned piece by alternately arranging the copper paste containing an organic binder and water in 10 to 35 wt % and one or more kinds of copper powders selected from a copper powder and a copper alloy powder, and the silver paste similarly prepared to the copper paste; forming patterned pastes by drawing a pattern through deforming at least rows on the upper surface of the alternately arranged copper and silver pastes; drying the patterned pastes to produce a patterned piece; shaping a decorative object by processing the produced patterned piece; and firing the decorative object to produce a decorative sintered object.

摘要： An artificial stone is disclosed for use in creating a covering a supporting surface. The artificial stone includes a base portion for placement on the supporting surface, which base portion is shaped as a right regular prism for patterned, fitting arrangement of the flagstone with like flagstones to produce a continuous surface covering. The base portion has a regular base contour. The stone further includes a top portion with a facing surface, the facing surface having an irregularly shaped top contour different from the base contour and an intermediate portion connecting the top portion with the base portion. The intermediate portion has an inclined wall extending between the top portion and a sidewall of the base portion. Stones of this construction can easily be arranged in a regular, repeated pattern to generate a continuous covering for the supporting surface without the surface of the resulting covering having a regular, patterned appearance. The irregular top contours of the stones, simulate the appearance of natural stone.
