    • A stacker bundler and a control method thereof are provided to remove paper jam or irregularity of a signature. A stacker bundler(1) comprises a conveyor(2) conveying a signature in a crosswise overlapped state; a small-quantity bundle-stacking device(3) stacking signatures freely falling from the end of the conveyor and bundling the signatures in small quantities; a flow partition device(4) temporarily intercepting a flow of signatures on the conveyor; a pusher(5) pushing bundles of a small quantity downward while intercepting a flow of the signatures by the flow partition device; a large-quantity bundle production part(6) stacking the bundles of a small quantity and producing bundles of a large quantity; and a binding part(7) binding the bundles of a large quantity. The flow partition device has a rolling-type stopper(10) rolling and stopping signatures conveyed; a roller(11) rolling at predetermined speed while passing through a flow of the signatures upward from the signature rolled and stopped by the rolling-type stopper; and a lift plate(12) lifting the signatures on the conveyor. The lift plate is supported by more than a pair of lift drive devices independently driving the upper side or lower side of the lift plate.
