    • PURPOSE:To effectively perform the joining work of a marine structure and a platform without being subject to weather and oceanic conditions by a method in which when legs are connected with the struts of a marine structure, the legs are hung down and joined by a heap compensator provided to the platform. CONSTITUTION:Heap compensators 8a-8d consisting of oil-pressure cylinders 81a-81d, pulleys 82a-82d, and wires 83a-83d are provided to a platform. When legs 5a-5d are brought down and connected with the struts 3a-3d of a marine structure 1, the legs 5a-5d are removed from other couplings immediately before the legs 5a-5d come into contact with the struts 3a-3d, the loads are transferred to heap compensators 8a-8d and they are combined with each other under the condition of being hung down by the heap compensators. By this, since the movement of them by tidal waves, etc., is eased, the joining work of the marine structure and the platform can be effectively performed without governed by weathering and oceanic conditions.

    • The present invention relates to a shock absorbing device (100) for mating an integrated deck to a jacket leg (51), characterized by: a hollow constraining cylinder (10) having a bottom closure (11), connected to the top of the jacket leg (51); an elastomer module (20) provided in the hollow constraining cylinder (10), wherein inner diameter of the hollow constraining cylinder (10) is larger than outer diameter of the elastomer module (20) thereby forming an annular space; a plurality of reinforcing plates (30) embedded within the elastomer module (20), vertically spaced apart from each other; a protective assembly comprising a elastomeric cap (41) and a minimum of one protective ring (42) mounted to the elastomeric cap (41); wherein during mating of the integrated deck to jacket leg (51), a support column (52) of the integrated deck abuts on the protective assembly and compresses the elastomer module (20) to secure the connection of the integrated deck to the jacket leg (51).

    • A system transfers, at sea, a load onto fixed legs of a substructure emerging from water. The load is specially fabricated in the construction yard and is transported to the substructure by a suitable cargo barge. The load and the substructure have a corresponding number of legs. The transfer system includes a preload mooring subsystem in front of the substructure. A horizontal sheave can be opened and is used to shift a mooring wire from one position to another. The transfer system also includes a subsystem to mate the load to the substructure. This mating subsystem has a main transfer or extender, called an ALS, installed on legs of the load. Also, the mating subsystem has a secondary transfer or cargo barge release, called a BRS, installed on the cargo barge. Furthermore, the transfer system includes a subsystem to protect the barge sides and the legs of the substructure. Finally, the transfer system includes a cargo barge arrest subsystem.
