    • An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for preventing the intrusion of poured concrete into the space defined by a window buck installed between concrete forms. The apparatus, system, and method include a window buck panel incorporating a concrete exclusion barrier comprising a protrusion formed on the body of the window buck panel; a flange affixed to an attachment leg of the window buck panel; or an appropriately shaped leg of a window buck panel. The concrete retention barrier is configured to contact a concrete form under pressure and remain in contact as the form alters shape from the weight of infused concrete. By preventing fluid concrete from entering a defined window cavity during formation of a concrete wall the apparatus, system, and method described eliminate the need to remove hardened concrete from the interior of the cavity before window installation. Use of certain embodiments of the described invention saves time and effort in preparing the window cavity for window installation and also preserves the cleanliness and precise configuration of the window installation surface.

The remaining leg portion of the one channel member may cooperate with a member disposed on the trailing edge of the associated door panel to define a flame shield and a mechanical limit for preventing undue separation of the door panel from the side jamb.

    • An access door unit includes a door, doorway structure, and elements for pivotally attaching the door to the doorway structure. The doorway structure has an outer perimeter frame and base affixed thereon. The base has support members extending in transverse relation to and outwardly fore and aft from the outer perimeter frame and adapted to rest on a generally level support surface such that the outer perimeter frame extends upright from the base enabling the doorway structure to assume a free-standing, self-supporting orientation on the support surface. The outer perimeter frame of the doorway structure defines a passage large enough to fit the door and permit entry or exit through the passage when the door is opened. A closure panel of the door may be full or half length in accordance with the different uses being made of the access door unit.

    • A casing for openings in buildings with enhanced thermal insulation capacity includes a first tubular section bar which is fixed to a perimetrical wall delimiting the opening, and a second tubular section bar cooperating with the first tubular section bar in order to hermetically close the opening. The first and second tubular section bars are capable of supporting one or more front panels of an interface between an inner environment and an outer environment of the building. At least one of the first tubular section bars and the second tubular section bars presents a plurality of through openings which create within at least one of the tubular section bars a continuous flow of circulating air which, due to the temperature difference between the inner environment and the outer environment, forms a natural thermal barrier in any season.
