    • PURPOSE: To prevent an engine from retarding with the use of an engine transient fuel increasing device provided with an accumulator for temporarily accumulating therein a discharged fuel from an accelerator pump, by communicating a fuel passage connected to the accumulator, with an intake-air passage downstream of a throttle valve.
      CONSTITUTION: In an engine transient fuel injection device, fuel in a float chamber 22 is sucked into a suction port 33 in association with the ascending operation of a piston 30 in association with the closing operation of a throttle valve 27. Further, there is provided an accelerator pump 28 for discharging fuel from a pump chamber 29 through a discharge port 34 upon descending operation of the piston 30. Further there is provided an accumulator 37 communicated with the discharge port 34 of the accelerator pump 28 through a fuel inflow passage 45 incorporating a check valve 47 and defined by a diaphragm 38. In this arrangement a reserving chamber 39 in the accumulator 37 is communicated through a fuel inflow passage 45 to an outlet port 46A which is opened to an intake-air passage 24 downstream of of a throttle valve in a carburettor 21. With this arrangement, the supply of fuel for acceleration is continuously made to prevent the engine from retarding.
