摘要： A cloud computing system, which upon authorization, establishes direct network communication with a smoker. The smoker comprises a hopper for loading combustible pellets into a combustion area of the smoker. The cloud system receives from a remote device instructions for controlling a smoker, and transmits the instructions to the smoker. A user may be able to ignite the smoker remotely, such functionality may be disabled unless the user is within a specified distance of the grill, as determined by a GPS or Bluetooth geofence. The cloud system may receive usage data from the smoker, analyse the usage data, generate smoker related analytics for the smoker, perform remote diagnostics on the smoker, predict problems for components of the smoker, and transmit instructions to the smoker to cause the hopper to load additional pellets into the combustion area.
