    • A method is provided for controlling a data transmission device that includes at least one fractional-sized subdriver. The method includes enabling at least one subdriver and driving a differential signal pair output. Also provided is an apparatus that includes an output driver with at least one fractional-sized subdriver and a de-emphasis portion configured to enable and disable the subdrivers of the output driver. The output driver is configured to drive a differential output data signal.

    • A circuit for detecting out-of-band signals is disclosed. In one embodiment, the circuit includes a first differential circuit configured to level shift and positively rectify a differential input signal to produce a first output component of a differential output signal. The detector further includes a second differential circuit configured to level shift and negatively rectify the differential input signal to produce a second output component of the differential output signal. A third differential circuit is configured to level shift and output first and second fixed voltages based on an input reference voltage and a ground voltage. The circuit is configured to provide the differential output signal and the first and second fixed voltages to an indicator circuit configured to assert an indication responsive to detecting that a differential voltage of the differential output signal is greater than a differential voltage of the first and second fixed voltages.

The touch control device includes a light emission module, a first capture module, a second capture module, a computing module, and a first wireless transmission module. The light emission module projects a light signal to become a touch surface. When an object approaching the touch surface, the first capture module and the second capture module are used for capturing a first reflected signal and a second reflected signal according to reflect the light signal. The computing module is used for computing a first capturing angle and a second capturing angle according to the first reflected signal and the second reflected signal and computing a coordinate data of the object. The first wireless transmission module is used for transferring the coordinate data to a controlled system via a wireless transmission.

    • Network management to establish and maintain the health and security of a computing network, such as a home network. A network management tool may identify the media access control (MAC) address for each device in the network, and allow a user to identify which devices are authorized to be a member of the network. If the network gateway device supports MAC address filtering, a user can then employ the network management tool to configure the router to exclude non-authorized devices from joining or remaining in the network based upon their MAC addresses. Further, the network management tool may allow a user to configure a wireless gateway device to stop broadcasting its service set identifier (SSID), change the SSID, or both, identify to the user when a wireless gateway device is using encryption, and, if so, what type of encryption. Still further, the tool may monitor the status of various software applications on devices in the network, and then alert a user if the status of any of the devices in the network requires attention. Further, the network management tool may provide recommendations to a user for correcting or changing the status of the monitored software applications.
