摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire-retardant covered electric wire, cable, and synthetic resin mold superior in resistance to heat deterioration, properties for water resistance and insulation, and resistance to weathering where a toxic gas, such as a halogen gas or the like will not generated during combustion. SOLUTION: An electrical wire and a cable coated with a resin composition having resistance to heat deterioration, properties for water resistance and insulation and fire-retardance, and a mold formed of the resin composition are composed by blending magnesium hydroxide particles of 10 to 500 pts.wt., and an antioxidant and/or a metal inactivator of 0.01 to 10 pts.wt. based on a synthetic resin of 100 pts.wt. The magnesium hydroxide particles has an average diameter of secondary particles of 10 μm or smaller as measured by a laser diffraction scattering method, where the specific surface by a BET method is 20 m2/g or lower, the total content of Fe compounds and Mn compounds is 0.02 wt.% or lower when converted into metal equivalence, and the total content of water-soluble alkali metal compounds is 0.05 wt.% or lower when converted into alkali metal equivalent.
