摘要： A personal hydration system with component connectivity. The hydration system includes a fluid reservoir that may be housed within a pack. Drink fluid is drawn from the reservoir through a drink tube in fluid communication with the reservoir at one end and with a mouthpiece at the other. In some embodiments, the hydration system includes a manually actuated on/off valve downstream from the reservoir and/or a bite-actuated mouthpiece. The hydration system further includes a quick-connect assembly that fluidly interconnects components of the hydration system and which is configured to quickly release, and permit reattachment of, the detached or replacement components. In some embodiments, the hydration system includes a quick-connect assembly that is adapted to selectively couple a bite-actuated mouthpiece and a gas mask adapter to the hydration system's drink tube. In some embodiments, at least a portion, if not the entire, hydration system is formed from a chemically resistant material.

摘要： The invention provides improved backpack and waist bag carrying systems in which a waist bag rotates through a lower compartment of a backpack to allow the bearer of the backpack to access the contents of the receiver of the waist bag by rotating the waist bag to the front of the bearer's torso. One or more doors are provided in one aspect to secure the receiver of the waist bag in the lower compartment of the backpack but permit the egress of the receiver through the opening covered by the door, which may be tensioned away from the opening by a tensioning system when the free end of the door is released. The receiver is tapered to easily fit into the lower compartment and remain in that compartment due to friction with the walls defining the compartment.

In one embodiment the backpack has a lower or lumbar region below the bag portion of the backpack that releasably contains the receiver of the waist bag when the belt of the waist bag is secured around the bearer's waist and the backpack is worn on hte bearer's back. The receiver of the waist bag can be moved without having to take off the backpack so that the receiver of the waist bag is disposed to the bearer's front and the bearer can gain access to the contents of the receiver. The bearer can then move the receiver back to the lower region of the backpack and the combination of the backpack and the waist bag then will appear to be a normal backpack with a waist belt. While moving the receiver, the waist bas remains operatively connected to the backpack.

摘要： The invention relates to a device for carrying and holding loads, notably carrier bags, camera bags, musical instruments, young children, furniture, beer crates and working tools. Said device introduces the load in to the body of the person carrying said load via a frame. A rigid frame (7.1) contacts at least two different areas of the body of a load-carrying person on one or two sides. Said areas can be subjected to pressure without suffering damage and form bearing surfaces, notably on the pelvis, hip, back, behind the shoulders or on the rib cage. The frame contacts the body directly or indirectly via force-transmitting elements without restricting the freedom of movement of the load-carrying person, especially when such a person bends forwards. The rigid frame (7.1) connects the bearing surfaces in such a way that they are both close to the body and the load and do not exert pressure likely to cause muscular tension in pressure-sensitive body parts, notably the neck, upper side of the shoulder, abdomen and kidneys, or result in harmful deformation of the spine or rotation of the pelvis about the Z-axis.
