    • There is disclosed a method for forming a threaded dispensing opening for a cylindrical drum container having a generally flat circular closed bottom, a generally flat circular closed top (11), and a cylindrical side wall comprising the steps of forming an aperture (36) in the drum top (11) and drawing the drum metal adjacent the aperture (36) upwardly to define an upwardly extending annular shoulder (35). The shoulder (35) is then compressed downwardly to thicken the shoulder and a female threaded portion (37) is formed on the inside of the annular shoulder (35) which is receptive of a threaded closure member (40). There is also disclosed a drum formed with a threaded dispensing opening and an apparatus for forming same.

    • PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing discharge port of faucet is provided which is capable of simply changing design of the discharge port not by forming a discharge hole on a front end part of the faucet, but by forming the discharge hole at the inner side of the discharge port of the faucet. CONSTITUTION: In an ordinary method for manufacturing discharge port of faucet comprising a cutting step of cutting a tubular work(100), a punching step of forming a cut off groove(200) on an end part at one side of the cut work, a cut off groove drawing step of forming a half part(300a) of discharge hole, a drawing step of forming the residual half part(300b) of the discharge hole, and a burr removing step of completing the discharge hole by finishing the surface of the formed discharge hole(300), the method further comprises a drawing step of finishing a front end part of the discharge port in the state that the front end part of the discharge port is pushed to an inner side of the discharge port, thereby forming the discharge hole at an inner side of the discharge port after performing the drawing step of forming the residual half part of the discharge hole.

CONSTITUTION: The method for manufacturing fitting of the end part of a refrigerant circulation pipe for automobile comprises a material preparation process of cutting an aluminum pipe (P') having a desired diameter to a desired length; first drawing process of bending the one end part (P'-1) of the pipe (P') by hitting a punching head(10) on the inner side of a space part(11) of which the inclined surface(12) having a small angle is formed onto one end part (P'-1) of an aluminum pipe (P') using an instantaneous pressure; second drawing process of bending the end part (P'-1) of the pipe (P') by hitting a punching head on the inner side of the space part(11) of which the inclined surface having an intermediate angle is formed onto the end part (P'-1) of the aluminum pipe (P') that is bent to a small angle using an instantaneous pressure; a shape finishing process of bending the end part (P'-1) of the pipe (P') perpendicularly to the outer diameter of the aluminum pipe (P') by hitting a punching head having a perpendicular compression surface onto the end part (P'-1) of the aluminum pipe (P') that is bent to an intermediate angle in the second drawing process using an instantaneous pressure; and a piercing process of forming a through hole on the center of the end part (P'-1) of the aluminum pipe (P') that is perpendicularly bent using a boring machine.

    • A closure assembly for a container is disclosed including an intemally-threaded annular flange, an externally-threaded closure plug that is received by the annular flange, and an annular gasket positioned between the annular flange and the closure plug for establishing a sealed interface. The container includes a container end panel that is formed over and around a portion of the annular flange and provides an inner axial wall that is positioned between the annular flange and the annular gasket. The clearance between the closing plug and the inner axial wall relative to the size of the annular gasket determines the degree of radial compression of the annular gasket as the plug is threaded into the flange. A radial lip of the plug is designed to contact an upper surface of the container end panel that is formed over the flange as a visual indication when the required tightening torque of the plug within the flange has been reached.
