    • A hacksaw comprising an arc-shaped frame (1), a two-armed grip (3), a blade (2) with a tensioning mechanism (4) arid a shock-absorbing mechanism (5). The upper arm (9) of the grip is swivel jointed to the frame and the shock-absorbing mechanism is implemented in a hollow (28) in the lower arm (10) of the grip. The shock-absorbi'ng mechanism comprises a bolt (23) bearing a nut (24) and a flexible element (25). The back arm (7) of the frame interacts with the grip by means of the flexible element. The blade-tensioning mechanism (4) is positioned at the end of the front arm (6) of the frame and comprises two units for initial and final tensioning of the blade. When the blade meets inconsistency or hard inclusions in the sawing material the inertial force applied by the user causes the grip to turn about its joint (11) while the flexible element compresses to absorb shocks and vibrations. This protects user' s hand from shocks and vibrations and advances durability of the blade.
