    • The present invention relates to a stopper (1, 400) for a bottle designed for commercial bottling of a beverage or liquid food, preferably a wine bottle, and a sealing element (4, 440) for sealing the stopper (1, 400) in the mouth of the bottle, which is separate from the bottle. The stopper (1, 400) comprises a stopper part (2, 412) for introduction into a mouth of the bottle, and a head part (3, 413) for remaining outside the mouth of the bottle, the head part having a diameter that is larger than that of the stopper part (2, 412), wherein the stopper part (2, 412) comprises a an interlocking mechanism for engaging with a counterpart interlocking mechanism of the sealing element (4, 440). The sealing element (4, 440) is configured to be forced against an inner wall of the mouth, thereby being brought into a sealed position, upon introducing the stopper part (2, 412) into the mouth, in which sealed position the stopper (1, 400) is held on the bottle. The interlocking mechanisms are configured to permit bringing the sealing element into an unsealed position by an unsealing action which comprises rotating the stopper with respect to the bottle.

    • Universal fitments for attachment to spouts having various internal diameters and/or various threadings and methods of using the same. The universal fitments may attach to spouts around their outer diameters and/or within their inner diameters. Some universal fitments include an outer circumferential member having a central aperture extending therethrough and a deformable inner circumferential member adjoined to the inner surface of the outer circumferential member.     • A molded cap is disclosed having a sealing ring groove just below the cap handle in order to seal crank case gases in an internal combustion engine. The cap includes two spiral grooves for engaging a respective protrusion formed on the inner annular surface of an oil fill snout which receives the cap. A recess is formed at the end of each spiral groove for receiving a respective protrusion to lock the cap into the oil fill snout. The oil fill snout has a draft angle to provide an outside vertical force component on the cap and sealing ring. The vertical force locks the protrusions into the respective recesses and provides a positive sealing force to the sealing ring when the cap is twisted into the snout and into the closed position. The two spiral grooves increase the resistance to back out and create symmetric force components. At the entrance of each groove, a lead-in angle is used to free the cap from the cover by continuing to turn the cap in a counter-clockwise motion.
