摘要： An apparatus (200) for inflating inflatable articles, such as bicycle tire inner tubes, and for securing mobile articles, such as bicycles, to other objects. In one preferred embodiment, a first length of cable and a second length of cable (210) are kept within a housing (212) until needed to secure the article to an object. A cable holding sleeve (224) holds the lengths of cable in a substantially side-by-side relationship when the cables are within the housing. When needed, the cable lengths are withdrawn from the housing, passed through the frame of the article, around the object and the two ends of the cable (210) are locked together with, for example, a cylindrical combination lock (54). A pump piston (214) is provided with the housing (206) to force air out a pump nozzle (202) located at one end of the housing.

The reel assembly includes a base for securing to the first SIP, a first lock portion, and a cable wound about a spool for extending and retracting. The second SIP is located on a truck box wall opposite a location of the first SIP and has a second lock portion to receive the first lock portion to selectively secure the cable. The base may include two components slidably mounted to one another to translate between a first position and a second position.
