The method for manufacturing a light-emitting button key having an engraved pattern that emits light when irradiated from the rear, comprises: a pressing step for molding a button body, which is open in one direction, by pressing a metal plate; an adhesive application step for applying an adhesive, which is to be attached to the button body, to the inside of the button body; an injection step for injection-molding a transmission unit, which is to be attached to the button body by an adhesive layer, by injecting a synthetic resin composed of a transparent or a semitransparent material, into the inside of the button body having the adhesive layer formed from the adhesive; and a groove processing step for passing through the button body and the adhesive layer from the outside of the button body to form a light transmission groove corresponding to a character, a number, or a figure, wherein the light transmission groove formed in the groove processing step does not pass through the transmission unit, and the light illuminated from the rear of the button body is emitted to the outside through the transmission unit and the light transmission groove, resulting in illuminating the character, the number, or the figure formed by the light transmission groove.
