摘要： An article of sporting equipment for use as a training aid for the disciplines of shot, hammer, discus and javelin. The article of sporting equipment comprising a utility part and a shot part. The utility part has a shaft for replicating a portion of a shaft of a javelin. The shaft is connected at one end to a handle wherein the handle replicates the handle of a hammer. An end of the handle forms an edge to replicate an edge of a discus. The shot part is detachably connected to the other end of the shaft. When detached, the short part replicates a shot. The shot part can be connected to the shaft in a fixed and non fixed manner. When connected in the non fixed manner, the shot part is connected to the shaft by a flexible member in order for the article to replicate a hammer. When connected in the fixed manner, the shot part is held fast to the shaft in order to replicate a javelin and discus. Consequently, there is provided a method of using the article of sporting equipment as a javelin and discus when the utility part and shot part are connected in a fixed manner. The method comprising re-arranging the shot part to be attached in the non fixed manner to use the article as a hammer and detaching the shot part to use the shot part as a shot. Thus multiple disciplines can be practiced with one article.

摘要： A flying disc toy (10) of the FRISBEE type provides a lighting system having LEDs used in conjunction with a glow-in-the dark body (20). The flying disc provides a raised center section (40) having a plurality of LEDs mounted radially at spaced intervals. A motion responsive switch (SW1) is used to turn on the LEDs in response to movement on the disc. Electronic circuitry (80) controlling the LEDs provides a timer circuit that automatically turns off the LEDs a timed period after they are turned on. As a result of the motion sensitive switch (SW1) and timer circuit, the lights flash on and off rapidly as the disc flies through air turbulence. No on-off switch is required, since the circuitry (80) rapidly turns itself off. Because no on-off switch is present, all components are carried in a waterproof raised center section (40) having no opening. An optional battery plug structure (135) is threadedly insertable into a plug receiver (134) in the raised center section (40), and allows the user to replace the battery (B1).
