    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a printing failure due to a positional displacement of a sheet material and a slide-contact of the sheet material with a head.
      SOLUTION: The printer has a sheet material 3 conveying means 6, a printing means 7 for printing the sheet material 3, a reference plate 41 for supporting one side edge of the sheet material 3, a lever guide plate 42 opposite to the reference plate 41 and comprising a support member 60 turnably supported and brought in point-contact with the other side edge of the sheet material 3 and an energizing member 56 for energizing the support member 60 toward a reference plate 41 side, a correcting means 8 for correcting position of the sheet material 3 conveyed to the printing means 7, a moving means 43 for moving the reference plate 41 and the lever gide plate 42 to come close and separate from each otehr, a control means 85 for controlling the moving means and a position detecting means 50 for detecting position of the sheet material 3. The control means 85 changes an interval between the reference plate 41 and the lever guide plate 42 within a range of the width or less of the sheet material 3.

Upon a time except the insertion of paper, the abutting part 67e of the internal paper guide 67 is abutted against the base frame 1 to secure a clearance for paper while the internal paper guide 67 is pivoted automatically or by manual operation until the guide is abutted against the platen frame 5 whereby the paper inserting port is opened widely.

CONSTITUTION:A sheet discharging device for a paper printing machine is formed such that a conveying guide part 2 to guide and support a printed paper conveyed from a printing unit to a paper stacking position is provided with a paper guide 6-2 moved in a printed paper conveying direction. The printing unit side of the paper guide 6-2 is wound around the guide wheel of a rotatable sprocket 13, and a housing 14 to support the guide wheel is supported movably in the direction of the width of the printed paper by means of a guide shaft 16. An endless drive mechanism 15 is connected to the housing 14 to effect traction and movement of each housing 14. Through operation of the endless drive mechanism 15, each housing 14 is moved as it is guided and supported, and the position of the paper guide 6-2 is easily and rapidly regulated from the outside of a machine.
