    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a board connecting connector capable of preventing vibration and shock from being easily transmitted between connectors, of surely keeping a connection state, of connection with low insertion force, and of being easily miniaturized. SOLUTION: This board connecting connector is provided with: a plug connector 2 with a male terminal 7 having a projecting part 9 mounted to a housing 8; and a receptacle connector 3 with a female terminal 17 having a receiving part 16 for the male terminal 7 mounted to a housing 18. The male terminal 7 has a spring beam 10 formed between the projecting part and a fixing part to the housing for keeping a contact state of the male terminal to the female terminal. The receiving part has a first contact piece 21 extending in a direction perpendicular to the insertion direction of the male terminal, and a second contact piece 22 extending in the insertion direction of the male terminal. The projecting part has a first contact part 7a in contact with the first contact piece and a second contact part 7c in contact with the second contact piece in the state inserted into the receiving part.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new improved connector which is prevented from colliding with the edge of a printed circuit board.
      SOLUTION: A connector 28 is mounted on the surface of a printed circuit board 34 in an edge 94 of the printed circuit board 34 and fitted to an adapter 36 being the mating connector. The connector is provided with a housing 72 mounted on the surface of the printed circuit board 34 and has a lower flange 92 projecting from an open mating end of the housing 72 in a mating direction A. When the open mating end of the housing 72 is made adjacent to the edge 94 of the printed circuit board 34, a chamfered part 92b formed on the upper face of the front end of the lower flange 92 is superposed on the edge 94 of the printed circuit board 34, and the adapter 36 is guided through the chamfered part 92b so as to mate with and engage the open mating end of the housing 72.
