摘要： A composite netting is used for wrapping bales with a baling machine. The composite netting includes a continuous netting component, and a discontinuous, breathable material component. The breathable material component is partially attached to the netting material. In some embodiments, the breathable material is attached only along the leading edge of each breathable material panel. As a result of the attaching technique the stretching properties of the netting are not transferred to the breathable material. Thus, each component of the netting retains its individual properties. Each bale is initially wrapped with about one wrapping of netting material, followed by about one wrapping of breathable material and a partially attached net that is continuous from the first section. After this, one or more additional netting layers may be applied if desired.

摘要： A bale wrapping mechanism for feeding bale surface wrapping material to an inlet of a baling chamber containing a bale to be wrapped includes a support arrangement for supporting a plurality of wrapping material supply rolls disposed with their adjacent ends either overlapping each other or disposed in axially aligned or end-to-end relationship with each other. In the case of overlapping ends, the adjacent runs of material respectively emanating from the plurality of supply rolls overlap each other and are applied to the circumference of a bale being wrapped in an overlapped arrangement. In the case of axially aligned supply rolls and when the wrapping material is a spreadable net material, a material spreading arrangement is located between the supply rolls and an inlet to the baling chamber and acts to spread the net so that adjacent runs of wrapping material respectively emanating from the plurality of material supply rolls overlap each other and remain overlapped as they are applied to the bale.

摘要： Provided are monolayer and multilayer films having improved barrier properties. The monolayer film is a blend of two components: (1) a linear low density polyethylene and (2) a propylene-based polymer, a high density polyethylene, and combinations thereof. The propylene-based polymer can be a propylene homopolymer, a propylene/a-olefin interpolymer, a propyleve/ethylene interpolymer, or a propylene/ethylene copolymer. The multilayer film has an inner layer located between two outer layers. The inner layer is composed of one or more of the following: high density polyethylene, and/or any of the foregoing propylene-based polymers. The outer layers may be the same or different and are composed of one or more of the following: linear low density polyethylene, high density polyethylene, and any of the foregoing propylene-based polymers. The present films exhibit proved oxygen barrier properties particularly for balage applications.
