    • The invention relates to a coffee grinder comprising two grinding discs (4, 5) that can be rotated in opposite directions, the axial distance between which defines the degree of grinding of the coffee powder produced. The grinding discs (4, 5) are mounted one over the other within a grinder body (1), the lower grinding disc (5) being rotatable about a vertical axis of rotation (6), while the upper grinding disc (4) can be adjusted non-rotatably and by an eccentric shaft (13) relative to the lower grinding disc (5) in the direction of the vertical axis of rotation (6). By rotating the eccentric shaft (13) with a motorised drive (17) the space between the grinding discs can be changed infinitely. This enables infinite regulation of the degree of grinding when preparing the coffee.

    • Disclosed is a grinder which includes a grinder assembly retained in a housing. The grinder assembly receives material for grinding such as coffee beans. Grinding burrs are provided, one of which is rotated by a grinder drive motor of the grinder assembly. The other of the burrs is generally non-rotatable with regard to the general grinding operation. The two grinding burrs are provided with grinding surfaces against which beans are ground. The grinding surfaces are spaced a desired dimension away from each other to produce a desired grind of coffee. An apparatus, system and method is disclosed for adjusting at least the generally non-rotatable burr to maintain, calibrate or otherwise adjust the dimension or gap between the grinding surfaces of the burrs.

    • A spice grinding and dispensing device generally intended to be used for grinding one spice in a first portion and a second spice in the other portion. Each portion of the dual spice grinder includes a handle or trigger that activates an independent rasp mechanism. When the trigger is pressed, the rasp activated thereby moves down and forces ground spice through an opening. The pressure of the rasp against the inside of the bottom of the grinder breaks up the spice, and only spice that is properly sized can fit through the opening. Furthermore, the opening may be adjustable so that a user can create a coarse or finely ground spice.

Using the attachment and adjustment element, the distance between the two grinding wheels and thus the degree of coarseness of grinding can be adjusted. Thereby, simple cleaning of the grinding gear and very fine grinding of the material to be ground are made possible.
