    • PURPOSE: An electronic beam welding method and a part formed by the electronic beam welding method are provided to weld various parts that need a deep weld joining part with high aspect ratio by removing deflection of the electronic beam in welding different metals. CONSTITUTION: An electronic beam welding method is composed of steps for arranging articles(10,12) and restricting a boundary surface(14) of a contact surface between the articles; applying a partial magnetic field on at least a portion of the boundary surface of the contact surface; and directing an electronic beam(20) on the boundary surface and forming a part(32) welded together with the articles on the boundary surface by the electronic beam. The electronic beam welding method controls the electronic beam in passing the electronic beam through the boundary surface to weld the articles together with the whole boundary surface of the contact surface with the partial magnetic field.

    • PURPOSE: An electron beam welding method and a component forming method of a gas turbine engine are provided to prevent strain aging cracking of the welding portion by irradiating the second electron beam to the work piece within the wake of the welding beam. CONSTITUTION: In an electron beam welding method, alloy parts(12) are arranged to place an interface(14) between the parts. A welding material(16) is contacted to the interface between the parts, and a welded material(10) is formed by irradiating a first electron beam(24) along the interface. The precipitation strengthened face is molten and removed from the welding material by the first electron beam. A second electron beam(26) is irradiated on a portion(30) of the welding material in the rear part of the first electron beam to heat the portion of the welding material to the stress release temperature of the welding material with the sufficient power spectral density.
