    • A steering column ignition lock for a motorcycle comprises a lock housing, a closing cylinder, which can be rotated in the lock housing, and closing pins which can be moved in the closing cylinder and can be activated with a key, so that the closing cylinder can be rotated optionally relative to the lock housing or is blocked against rotation. To enable a remote control of the steering column ignition lock, a sleeve is installed rotatably within the lock housing, and the closing cylinder is inserted rotatably within the sleeve. The closing pins can be made to engage with said sleeve so as to block rotation of the cylinder relative to the sleeve. A locking bolt that can be slid in the lock housing can be made to engage with a slotted opening of the sleeve, preventing its rotation relative to the lock housing. The locking bolt has an electromagnet, which can be activated with a remote controller to cause it to disengage with the slotted opening of the sleeve.

    • A lock having a pin inserted into openings in the housing and the shaft to lock the shaft against movement relative to the housing. A lock guard is welded to the housing and a pin and ball receptacle is welded to the opposite side of the housing. A pin lock inserted through the lock guard, through the housing and the shaft into the pin and ball receptacle includes an outer pin containing a pair of ball bearings disposed within openings in the end of the outer pin. When inserted the pair of ball bearings are disposed adjacent to depressions in the inside surface of the pin and ball receptacle. A cylinder key lock is attached at the end opposite the key to a rotator which engages an inner pin. The inner pin has a large diameter section and a reduced diameter section at its end. When the large diameter section is in contact with the ball bearings, the ball bearings protrude through the outer pin and engage the depressions in the pin and ball receptacle to lock the outer pin to the pin and ball receptacle. When the inner pin is withdrawn so that the ball bearings are in contact with the reduced diameter section, the ball bearings can fall away from the depressions and the pin lock can be withdrawn from the housing.

    • A handlebar hocking device including a pair of tubular members with each having a distal end, a proximal end and a opening therethrough that is capable of receipt therein a handle of a handlebar. Each tubular member has an exterior surface with a ball joint assembly spaced from the proximal end attached thereto. A locking assembly has a box-like configuration with a bottom wall and a pair of proximal side walls having a passage therethrough with a chamber therein. The chamber has a first wall with a locking lever attached thereto and an orifice therethrough with a locking cylinder therein. A first rod is positioned within the locking assembly and engages one of the ball joint assemblies of one of the tubular members. A second rod has an external end engaging one of the ball joint assemblies of one of the tubular members and an internal end with ribbed projections for engaging the locking lever of the locking assembly to secure the locking device on to the handlebar so as to prevent use.

    • Theft of a bicycle is discouraged by a locking mechanism in the front headstem that controllably engages the handlebar-attached headstem with the front fork or disengages the headstem and fork for free relative rotation. A shaft attached to the fork and a sleeve attached to the handlebar clamp are connected at a locking junction which is rotatable as a whole in the front journal of the frame. A key operated cam moves a locking roller radially outwardly of the shaft to engage a receptacle in the sleeve for engagement or allows the roller to retract into an aperture for disengagement. The shaft and sleeve have complementary conical tapers axially positioned by a split conical bushing. A cylinder lock operates the cam via a key having a substantially tubular configuration with a uniquely configured axial end for positioning lock pins against axial spring pressure. The key has a radially protruding guide tab, and fits into an annular key receptacle with two longitudinal slots, one for the guide tab upon insertion of the key, and the other capturing the key via the guide tab in the locking position of the lock. The key has a rounded end cap configured to cover a top of the frame headstock.
