摘要： A stopper for a bottle and a sealing element for sealing the stopper in the mouth of the bottle, which is separate from the bottle. The stopper comprises a stopper part for introduction into a mouth of the bottle, and a head part for remaining outside the mouth of the bottle, the head part having a diameter that is larger than that of the stopper part, wherein the stopper part comprises a an interlocking mechanism for engaging with a counterpart interlocking mechanism of the sealing element. The sealing element is forced against an inner wall of the mouth, thereby being brought into a sealed position, upon introducing the stopper part into the mouth, in which sealed position the stopper is held on the bottle. The interlocking mechanisms permit bringing the sealing element into an unsealed position by an unsealing action which comprises rotating the stopper with respect to the bottle.

摘要： A combination of a customized bottle and a closure. The bottle has a neck with an interior circumferential surface defining a throat with a longitudinal axis and having an end face, at least a portion of which is inclined with respect to an imaginary plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. The closure has a head and a cylindrical shank extending from the head and has a cross-sectional area less than that of the head and having a longitudinal axis extending through the shank and having a cross-sectional area which is less than that of the cross-sectional area of the throat in the neck of the bottle. The head has a surface facing toward the shank and has a portion thereof which is inclined with respect to an imaginary plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the shank and which is complementary to the inclined surface on the face of the neck. O-ring seals are carried by the shank for forming a sealing engagement with respect to the outer surface of the shank and the interior surface of the neck and providing a frictional engagement which is greater than the force which can be applied by a human to the closure for removal of the same until at least a portion of said O-ring seals has cleared the inner surface of the neck to thereafter permit removal of the closure by a human hand pulling on the closure to complete opening of the bottle.

摘要： A fitment attached around an aperture in a container has a flange from which extends a spout closed by an initially integrally molded externally threaded plug. So long as the fitment and plug are in their original position after molding, the combination is tamper-evident. The plug is moved axially into the spout, with a liquid-tight fit. The plug has an outward extending tab formed with a slot and the fitment has an upward extending finger aligned with the slot in the tab and formed with tangs which lock the finger and tab together as the plug is moved into the spout, thereby making the device tamper-evident. A characteristic of the invention is that a tether interconnects the plug and the upper edge of the spout to prevent disconnection of the one from the other. As a further feature of the invention, an over-size foil seal extends across the bottom of the flange and is welded or otherwise adhered to the bottom of the flange. After assembly the portion of the foil extending outside the flange is welded or otherwise adhered to the carton. This further feature is particularly useful in aseptic packaging. Optionally the lower edge of the plug may be welded to the foil so that when the consumer unscrews the plug the foil under the spout is torn away.

A flange is formed on the exterior of the cylindrical wall to fit against the exterior of the container wall, surrounding the aperture therein. Preferably the flange slants downward-outward. A curling tool is forced against the end of cylindrical wall, curling it outward-upward to fit tightly against the interior of the container wall opposite the flange, thereby crimping the fitment to the container. Curling of the cylindrical wall may be performed either before or after the fitment is installed on the carton. The fitment is formed to be closed by a cap and preferably to engage the cap in a tamper-evident manner. In a preferred form of the invention the cap and fitment are initially molded as a unitary member.
