SOLUTION: The centrifuge is capable of discharging supernatant liquid between two chambers or more in a container by holding a sample container in a selected direction during or after centrifugal separation. Discharging may be conducted by gravity or centrifugal force, thereby enabling the system to provide an automated process for performing a first physical or chemical treatment on the sample to produce first supernatant liquid. A second physical or chemical treatment is performed on the first supernatant liquid, and the second supernatant liquid is separated from a desired component.

The inner layer 12 made of, e.g. an aluminum foil coated with plastic is mounted on an outer layer 11 in the radial narrow region at both sides of the tearing zone 19.
