    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain fluctuation of impedance characteristics due to shape differences of contact parts of a balanced transmission connector. SOLUTION: Dimension shapes of an upper side contact part 162 and a lower side contact part 172 are formed identically, and the impedance characteristics of the upper side contact part 162 and the lower side contact part 172 are set identically. Further, lead parts 164, 174 are formed extended downward in parallel so that distances from the other end of the upper side contact part 162 as well as the other end of the lower side contact part 172 to a downward substrate 110 are to be the minimum. Therefore, the lead parts 164, 174 have the same dimension shapes at straight parts 164a, 174a, but dimension shapes of curved parts 164b, 174b are made smaller at lower sides than at upper sides with differences of curvature radii. Thus, since a substrate connection part 140 structures a dielectric body, each dimension relation is regulated so that the impedance characteristics of the lead parts 164, 174 keep predetermined target values.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modular jack reducing crosstalk. SOLUTION: In this connector, a base wall 12 is provided, and a first side wall having a terminated part 48, an inner surface and an outer surface is longitudinally extended from the base wall 12, and a second side wall is axially extended opposite to the first side wall, then third and fourth side walls 60, 62 are separately put between the first and second side walls, and extended longitudinally from the base wall 12, thus an insert containing depression is formed. Plural laterally separated conductors are arranged into two groups. The first group conductors 1, 3, 5, 7, 8 are extended from the base wall 12 to the vicinity of the terminated part 48 of the first side wall, then they penetrate the side wall in a first plane 66. The second group conductors 2, 4, 6 are extended from the base wall 12 to the vicinity of the terminated part 48 of the first side wall, then they penetrate the side wall in a second plane 68 having the level different from that of the first plane 66.
