    • PURPOSE: To advance initial speed by including a specified amount of two kinds of specific polybutadienes, metallic salts of unsaturated carboxylic acids, catalysts derived from peroxides and inorganic fillers, respectively. CONSTITUTION: A golf ball contains over 40% approx. cis-1,4 content of polybutadiene about 15-85phr. with below 50 approx. Mooney viscosity catalyzed by VIII group metal, over 40% approx. cis-1,4 content of polybutadiene about 15-85phr. with below 50 approx. Mooney viscosity catalyzed by lanthanoid, metallic salts of unsaturated carboxylic acid about 25-45phr., about 0.2-2.0phr. of catalysts derived from peroxides and inorganic fillers about 5-25phr. In the formation of a golf ball, when two kinds of polybutadienes, matallic salts of carboxylic acid and inorganic fillers are mixed together, the temperature of the mixture rises. The mixing is to be continued until a good dispersion is obtained. The temperature of the mixture is lowered lower than the bottom end of the maximum stability temperature of a free radical initiator and the free radical initiator is added, mixed, put in the mold and hardened under pressure at a high temperature.

    • PURPOSE: To obtain visual harmonization by providing such an arrangement that twenty four isosceles triangles correspond to twenty four isosceles triangles which are formed by bisecting six square surfaces of a flat head regular octahedron, and three dividing lines correspond to bisectors of six square surfaces, and dimples are arranged in the twenty four isosceles triangles while they do not cross any one of the dividing lines. CONSTITUTION: A flat head regular octahedron has hexagonal surfaces 12, 13, 14, 15, and square surfaces 16, 17, 18. The square surface 16 is bisected by lines 20, 22, and the square surface 17 is bisected by two lines 24, 26. These bisecting lines quarter the respective square each of surfaces so as to form four substantially identical isosceles triangles. For example, the square surface 17 has four isosceles triangles 32, 34, 36, 38. A first large circular path corresponds to the bisectors 22, 26 and sides 40, 42. A second large circular path coincides with the bisectors 24, 28 and the sides 44, 46. A third large circular path coincides with bisectors 20, 30 and the sides 48, 50, 52, 54. Dimples are arranged in the respective hexagonal surfaces 76 of the respective square surfaces 60 and in the isosceles triangles.
