    • The hand-held electronic device includes a central processing unit, a memory unit, a state-detecting unit, a state-determining unit, a main power supply unit, a standby power supply unit, and a power supply switching unit. After determining the presence of a fall state, the state-determining unit will output a fall prevention instruction and which causes the central processing unit to enter a low-potential current mode; meanwhile, the power supply switching unit monitors power output and continues to supply low-potential power. In case of a fall of the hand-held electronic device, the device and method protect operation data and reduce the otherwise power-consuming current. The less power-consuming current is conducive to the reduction of capacitance required for a backup battery. The low-potential current mode is effective in reducing the time taken to recover the operation mode of the electronic device.

    • A system and a method for controlling access at a user end are disclosed. The correlation between a tag signal of a femtocell access point and a tag signal of a fixed internet device is established, such that when the femtocell access point would access internet via the fixed internet device, a tag signal of the femtocell access point and a tag signal of the fixed internet device are acquired, so as to determine whether the tag signal of the femtocell access point and the tag signal of the fixed internet device match the correlation in the data bank. When the tag signal of the femtocell access point and the tag signal of the fixed internet device match the correlation, the femtocell access point is allowed to provide access services. The present invention provides an effective mechanism for controlling access at a user end.

    • A heat-dissipating casing for a communication apparatus accommodates a circuit board having a power element and includes an insulating case, a lid coupled to the insulating case, and a thermally conductive metal member. The insulating case has a receiving space, a first opening, and a second opening. The first and second openings communicate with the receiving space. The thermally conductive metal member is fixed to the inside of the insulating case, seals the second opening, and dissipates heat generated by the power element. The heat-dissipating casing is effective in dissipating heat, characterized by its low weight and low production costs, and conducive to protection and dust prevention.

    • A pin and a plug having the pin allow a body of the plug to enclose the pin integrally. The plug includes the body and the pin. The body has a receiving space therein for receiving the fixing segment. An insulation portion extends outward from the external surface of the body. The pin is plate-shaped and defined with an inserting segment, a fixing segment, and a burying segment therebetween. The burying segment has a burial hole and barbs, and is buried in the insulation portion. The fixing segment protrudes into the receiving space. The inserting segment is exposed from the insulation portion. The pin and the plug cut costs, speed up a manufacturing process thereof, and allow the body to be formed by a single injection molding process and thus enclose and fix the pin in place firmly.
