    • A diffuser (10) includes a lower element (12) and an upper element (14). The upper element (14) is fixed on the lower element (12), and the upper element (14) and the lower element (12) are formed separately.     • The present application discloses a humidification and purification apparatus, which includes: a machine body provided with an air inlet and an air outlet; a purification and humidification module disposed in the machine body and close to the air inlet; and a blower disposed in the machine body and close to the air outlet. The purification and humidification module includes: a humidification module including a wet pad water tank, a wet pad and an elevation mechanism. The elevation mechanism is connected to the wet pad and is configured to drive the wet pad to move, so that the humidification module can be switched between a humidifying state and a non-humidifying state. In the humidifying state, part of the wet pad is immersed into the water in the wet pad water tank, and in the non-humidifying state, the wet pad is lifted above the water level of the wet pad water tank. The purification and humidification module further includes a purification module with an annular shape and at least partially sleeved outside a part of the wet pad extending out of the wet pad water tank. The humidification and purification apparatus improves the efficiency of purification and humidification, reduces operation noise, avoids the wet pad from being immersed in water for a long time, and improves service performance of the humidification and purification apparatus.
