    • A system and method are provided for play of a game of chance wherein players visit one or more physical locations to increase a likelihood of success or enhanced winnings in the game. A plurality of physical locations are designated as authorized communication-enabled locations and are configured with a transmitter device that broadcasts a unique ID signal or a receiver that receives the unique ID signal. The identity and address of the locations are published to the players. The players are provided with any one or more of: one of the unique transmitter devices; an application for download to a mobile smart device that enables receipt and recognition by the device of the unique ID signals; or a downloaded application to cause the mobile smart device to transmit a respective unique ID signal for receipt by the receiver in the communication-enabled locations. A game server is in secure communication with one or all of: the player's mobile smart device, the transmitter device at the communication-enabled location, or the receiver at the communication-enabled location. The server identifies the player and the particular location upon receipt of a transmission of the unique ID signal, and generates a personalized message to the player with instructions as to how the player can increase their likelihood of success in the game of chance by taking certain actions at the location.

    • A computer-enabled method is provided for a network-based multi-player lottery game. A plurality of players access a website via a network enabled device and join a multi-player game hosted by a game provider. The players are assigned individual virtual game plays, wherein at least two of the game plays are winning game plays with different award values. A play order is assigned to the plurality of players, wherein the players take turns revealing an aspect of their respective game play according to the assigned play order. Upon a first one of the players revealing a winning game outcome of their game play during one of their respective turns, ceasing further play of the multi-player game and awarding to the first winning player the prize award assigned to their game play, and transferring to the first winning player all remaining partially revealed game plays for completion by the first winning player.

    • Systems and methods for conducting a lottery game that implements a lottery rewards program are disclosed. The system may include a terminal for providing a game ticket to a player for use in a lottery game play. The game ticket has a randomly assigned redemption point value assigned thereto. The redemption point value includes at least one redemption point for use in a lottery rewards program. The system includes a player interface configured to permit a player to enter game ticket data into the lottery gaming system. The system further includes a controller configured to determine whether the game ticket is a winning game ticket eligible for the payout value of the lottery game play and to award the redemption point value of the game ticket to the player when the game ticket is not a winning ticket. In this manner, the rewards program of the present invention permits players to redeem or collect rewards even if the player loses the lottery game.

    • A computer-implemented method establishes a payout schedule for a game of chance having an enhanced upper tier or a method of conducting a real time drawing for multiple jurisdictions. Arrangement is made with an insurer to provide insurance payment to the game provider in the event of payout of the enhanced upper tier amount, wherein the insurer receives a premium payment that is less than the upper tier payout amount. A computer system uses an algorithm known to the insurer and the game provider to randomly determine whether the upper tier payout will be awarded in the game of chance. One or more seeds are input into the computer system for use by the algorithm for random determination of whether the upper tier payout will be awarded, with each party contributing to generation of the seeds.

    • Methods and systems for securely generating lottery games are presented. A final game generation seed number is formed from multiple seed numbers from multiple and differing parties such that no one party has the ability to create the final seed number without the other parties' consent or knowledge. Since the final seed number is required by the software that governs the distribution of prizes within a game and is therefore required to produce valid game data, no one entity would have enough information to determine the location of a winning prize. This creates an environment of transparency such that all parties must agree on the terms that result in the formation of the final seed number from the individual seed number fragments in order to produce a game.
