    • A foldable handle for a cook-pot including a bracket attached to the cook-pot, a handle member, a lock member and a bracing link member. The handle member has an upper end portion pivotally connected to the bracket, and opposed first and second sidewalls, each with an upper opening located in the upper end portion of the handle member and a lower opening located in a lower end portion of the handle member. The handle member has a guide channel with a lock member slidably disposed therein for movement between the upper and lower end portions of the handle member. First and second resiliently flexible members each having a projection for removably fitting within corresponding upper and lower openings of the first and second sidewalls. The link member has a first end rotatable retained by the bracket, and a second end rotatably attached to the lock member.

    • A container for bearing liquid, or the like, is described in which a handle, formed separately from the container, is fixedly secured to the container by a projection formed at one longitudinal end of the handle member organized to be frictionally received in a recess formed in the exterior wall of the container and a particularly formed headed connector device at the other end of the handle member mechanically secured to an adjacent portion of the container wall surface. The projection and the connector device are so disposed with respect to the handle member and the container that the locking action between the respective components is enhanced by the weight of the contents of the container.

    • A decanter or carafe for serving hot coffee having a metal bottom to which a plastic upper portion is joined. The decanter is unbreakable and shatterproof for all practical purposes. The lip of the pouring spout is shaped to facilitate pouring to either side as well as frontwards. A pistol grip handle skeleton is integrally joined to the plastic upper portion and receives mating grip pieces from opposite sides. The mating grip pieces may be colored brown to designate "regular" coffee and orange to designate "de-caffinated" coffee. The composite handle incorporates vents to drain liquid that might otherwise become trapped therein.

    • Method for mounting a plastic armature, particularly in the shape of a handle or an adapter designed to connect other structural parts, to a jar of frangible material like grass, ceramic, glass-ceramic, or the like by adhesively connecting the armature to the outer side of the jar, the armature comprising a shaped part which forms a positive interlock with a rim portion of the jar and the inner side thereof and thus secures the jar against dropping out from the armature upon a possible loosening of the adhesive connection, characterized in that an armature is used which comprises an extension of thermoplastic material which with projects inwardly over the rim of the jar when the armature is put into place, and in that during or after the making of the adhesive connection of the armature, the extension is softened by heating, deformed into the interlocking shaped part, and re-hardened by cooling.
