摘要： A card shaped assembly for holding four pens in an X like configuration along diagonals, comprising of two substantially symmetric, flat and opposed interlocking casings with diagonal recesses for accommodating ballpoint pens, the pens arranged in opposite directions along each diagonal to be slidable such that the writing tip protrudes outside of the casing when deployed and stored within when closed, the pens being connected to a button that joins two pens at the central point and arranged to protrude through the casing to provide pen selection and locking of pen position when deployed or closed and to slide over an equivalent button connecting two pens on the inverse diagonal of the opposed casing. The overall device being card-like for comfortable storage in a pocket, wallet or use as a bookmark with imprinting of designs, with single or multiple pen colours, and having rotational symmetry in casing design for manufacture.

The arrangement is sufficiently compact that the credit card carrying the clip and the writing instrument can be received in a wallet in a conventional manner.

摘要： The present disclosure is directed towards the design of a marking device for writing or drawing on a given surface. The marking device can be made of any material that leaves a residue or makes legible marks on a surface brought into contact with the device. The marking device of the present disclosure can be used to make precise lines or shapes on any material, including rough surfaces, such as, wood, concrete, drywall, tiles, etc. The marking device can consistently produce thin lines without needing any sharpening. The marking device can be attached to a support frame, which can serves as a handle for grasping and using the marking device. The support frame can further provide a housing to shield the marking device from damage when not in use. In one exemplary embodiment, the marking device is shaped as a razorblade and is configured to fit into any standard utility knife. In such an embodiment, the utility knife serves as the support frame for the marking device. Such an arrangement allows a utility knife to be reversibly converted into a carpenter pencil.
